This is what some of our team members have to say

Carissa Tarrant – Risk and Compliance Adviser, Hastings

The financial industry is always changing, which means that work is never ‘business as usual’. We work hard to stay in-step, which is busy, but that’s the part I like the most; it’s never boring. What my team does is ensure our Credit Union is always up to date with the regulatory changes occurring throughout the financial services industry, and ensuring Unity meets its legal obligations, so we can continue helping members throughout New Zealand.

Mike Savage – Customer Services Manager, Christchurch

Our goal is to give our members complete confidence and provide professional advice that is based on recommending the best products to suit their needs. Ranging from identifying the right savings options and showing them how to use mobile banking, to setting up a KiwiSaver account or the tools needed to get their home loan deposit savings on track. We pride ourselves on the fact that we get to know each individual and help them to reach their own goals and life ambitions. Working here means a whole lot more than simply working in a bank, it allows me to do my best for others.

Developing leadership

Unity offer their staff exceptional development opportunities across all aspects of their roles. We are committed to ensuring staff are not only equipped to be expert in the technical capabilities required to succeed, but we aim to develop the whole person. For our leaders, we provide a professional Leadership Development Programme that enhances their personal effectiveness and their ability to lead their teams confidently.
