This year approximately 3,000 customers saved a combined total of over $2.4 million in their Christmas saver accounts to help with the added expenses of the holidays. The Christmas/New Year period can be an expensive time of the year, with presents, food, holidays and the start of the school year all potentially causing a bit of stress. The Christmas saver account ensures our members can spend time with their family and enjoy the festive season stress-free. Unlike traditional Christmas clubs, customers are able to spend their savings wherever they like, rather than being restricted to just spending it at a supermarket or retail store. The account is difficult to access, with fees charged for early withdrawals, meaning they are more likely to stay on track and be rewarded by their good habits at the end of the year.
